Japanese Blacksmiths
Japan has many small and independent producers based all around the country. Many are small factories, some are just individual blacksmiths preserving traditional manufacturing techniques. We try to source many of these knives, often production is limited, but many of these hard to come by knives are truly unique pieces. Owning a handmade knife is owning a piece of someone’s craft and each knife bears the style of the blacksmith that made the knife.
