Product images are for illustrative purposes only. All product images are of the actual products themselves and have been photographed from physical samples. We have made every effort to make sure that the images accurately reflect the physical samples but sometimes different computer monitors and different computer monitor settings can slightly alter the colour or appearance of the product.

We make every effort to makes sure that the pricing displayed on our website is correct, but all prices need to be validated before an order is processed. Placing and Order with Us

You are deemed to have placed an order with us by completing the online checkout process for any of our products. During the checkout process you will be given the opportunity to fully check your order and correct any errors or make any changes you want. Once an order has been placed you will receive a confirmation to the email address you provided with the full details of the order. You will subsequently receive a further email when your order is dispatched.

No contract exists until we accept your order and acceptance of your order is only after we have actually dispatched the goods, even if we have received payment from you.

It is illegal according to the Criminal Justice Act 1988 to sell knives to anyone under the age of 18 (for more information see www.gov.uk/buying-carrying-knives). This act covers sales of our Japanese kitchen knives. Knives From Japan takes the law on underage knife sales very seriously in order to make sure that sales of our knives are not made to anyone under the age of 18.

Whenever you enter or leave and re-enter our website you will be required to confirm that you are over the age of 18. When you place an order for any of our kitchen knives you are confirming to us again that you are over the age of 18.

During the checkout process you will be asked to enter your date of birth. Our site uses age checking services from Age Checked to verify your identity and provide us with confirmation that you are over 18. Age Checked uses various sources of data to confirm your identity to which we have no access to. When customers fail the Age Checked verification, they may be followed up with a manual check by phone call or email.

We may refuse to accept an order for any of the following reasons:

- Where we cannot obtain authorisation or verification for your payment

- If we determine that there has been a pricing or product description error by us

- If we do not have enough stock to deliver the goods you have ordered

- If we do not deliver to your area

- If we have reasonable evidence to suspect that the recipient is under the age of 18 or where we have reasonable evidence to suspect that our products will be passed onto someone under the age of 18.

If we have processed your payment but decide not to accept your order, we will re-credit your account with the full amount deducted by us as soon as possible.

It is your responsibility to observe any local customs, regulations or legislation when purchasing our goods from abroad. We accept no responsibility or liability in respect of goods exported from the UK and imported into another country or territory.
