The Yui Sazanami Navy Chopsticks are part of the Yui collection, a range inspired by the bonds and connections shared between family and friends. The Japanese character Yui represents connection and bringing people together, reflecting the simple pleasure of sitting around the table and sharing a meal with those closest to you.

Sazanami translates to “ripples” or “small waves”. Rather than large ocean waves, it describes the gentle movement created across the surface of water by a light breeze. In Japanese culture, Sazanami is associated with tranquillity, subtle movement and the quiet beauty of nature.

This idea is reflected in the design of the chopsticks, with a series of soft, repeating wave-like grooves carved into the upper handle. The texture creates the appearance of rippling water while also providing a practical and comfortable grip that helps the chopsticks sit securely in the hand.

Made in Obama City, Japan, these 23cm chopsticks are crafted from wood and finished with a polyester coating. They are dishwasher safe and feature anti-slip tips for a more secure grip when eating.
