The Yui Chiri Sazame Blue Chopsticks are part of the Yui collection, a range inspired by the bonds and connections shared between family and friends. The Japanese character Yui (結) represents connection and bringing people together, reflecting the simple pleasure of sitting around the table and sharing a meal with those closest to you.

Chiri Sazame translates poetically to “scattering sand-rain” or a “whispering drizzle”. The design captures the peaceful appearance of a soft rain shower, with a rich blue handle covered in incredibly fine speckled detailing. The subtle flecks create a textured appearance reminiscent of tiny grains of sand glistening beneath falling rain.

Made from wood, the handles are finished with an acrylic coating, while the tips are coated in Japanese lacquer to protect the wood and provide a practical finish for everyday dining.
