The Raden Urushikaizukushi Black Chopsticks are a beautiful example of traditional Japanese decorative craftsmanship, handmade in Obama City, Japan.
The design features Raden, a traditional Japanese technique that uses the iridescent inner layer of seashells, carefully cut and polished to create a distinctive decorative finish. Urushikaizukushi brings together the beauty of seashells and Japanese lacquerware, creating a design inspired by an extensive collection of seashell motifs.
Made from wood, the handles are finished with an acrylic coating, while the tips are treated with Japanese lacquer. The chopsticks feature square tips and an anti-slip finish for a secure grip, with a 23cm length that makes them comfortable for everyday dining.
Combining natural materials with traditional Japanese craftsmanship, these chopsticks make an elegant addition to the table and a beautiful piece to appreciate as well as use.
