This knife is made by Nagao Kanekoma, the only manufacturer officially authorised to use the “Higonokami” trademark. Nagao Kanekoma continues the traditional Higonokami legacy, ensuring authenticity, quality, and adherence to classic Japanese knife-making standards.

Made in Japan, it features a three-layer VG10 stainless steel blade, offering excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and dependable cutting performance for a wide range of kitchen, and everyday tasks. The blade is finished with a striking hammered (Tsuchime) pattern, a traditional Japanese finish that gives the knife its distinctive handcrafted appearance while highlighting the skill of the maker.
