Known for their high-quality steel, Masahiro’s Virgin carbon range takes on an impeccably fine edge.

The Nakiri is used for vegetable preparation. The Virgin Carbon makes the slicing edge very very sharp and the ergonomically designed black Micarta handles allow for excellent grip and comfort even when repeatedly slicing in the kitchen. The Carbon blades give the blade a cutting edge with approximately 63 HRC. This allows the blade to stay extremely sharp and additionally it wont blunt easily. Having a extremely sharp cutting edge with the manufacturing legacy that Masahiro has created will allow anyone in the kitchen to get through all large to medium tasks whilst providing an extremely efficient cutting edge with a comfortable ergonomic handle.

Being a high carbon steel blade, it will soon develop a patina on its surface, do not be alarmed as this adds to the character of the knife and provides an added layer of protection against red rust.

Protect your knife when it is not in use for a prolonged period by applying a thin coat of Camellia oil to the blade.
