Horl HORL Brotmesser Oak

Known for their precision sharpening systems, HORL brings the same focus on cutting performance to the Brotmesser. Made in the Black Forest, Germany, this bread knife is designed to offer more than just a sharp edge.

Featuring a triple pro cut blade, it combines serrations, ridges and plateaus allowing it to have an efficient and clean cut. This makes the blade highly versatile, whether you're slicing through soft buns and rolls or working through a thick, crusty loaf.

What makes the HORL Brotmesser particularly different is that the serrated blade can be resharpened! Unlike traditional bread knives, which are often replaced once their cutting performance declines, the Brotmesser can be maintained over time using a HORL 3 sharpener at a 15° angle. This gives the knife a longer life and allows you to restore its cutting performance when needed.

The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, hardened to 59–60 HRC, offering a balance of durability, edge performance and corrosion resistance. Its design is suitable for both left- and right-handed users. The handle is handcrafted from solid oak, using the same wood as the HORL 3 sharpening system.
