SM-84018- 18cm Santoku(Japanese Chefs Knife: Kasumi label this knife as a Japanese Chef's knife, but it is in fact a Santoku knife and a really good one! Santoku literally means 'three ways' in Japanese. These knives are good for slicing, dicing and mincing. They make great all round knives, particualrly good for chopping up vegetables. The blade is quite flat, meaning that up and down chopping motions cleanly cut through the vegetable. The tips of the blades have points, allowing dicing and mincing. Santoku knives, previously unknown have become staples in many of our knife ranges.
SM-82008- 8cm Pairing Knife: A little paring knife in the Kasumi Damascus range. It is the smallest knife with just a 8cm blade and is useful for little kitchen tasks such as peeling, cutting and making food art.
SM-82015 -15cm Utility Knife: A good small knife from Kasumi. As a utility knife it can really be used for any purpose, but it has quite a thin narrow blade making it good for filleting small fish or just cutting up bits of fruit in the kitchen. Not for heavier work such as deboning chicken or chopping vegetables, it is good to accompany a larger chef's knife.
