What is a bagel knife? Well it took a long time to explain to our Japanese suppliers what a bagel was and why we eat so many of them. Apparently it is a very American/British thing. Really the Global range was missing a small bread knife, as the GS series contained everything but a small bread knife. At 16cm it is good enough for most loaves of bread and it is also a cheaper option than buying the full G-9. It also doubles up as a good utilty knife for vegetabes that have a hard skin and soft centre. So it is excellent for slices of large tomatoes as well.
We realised that some of our smaller Global blocks could not fit the large bread knife, so if you have the smallest size of ship shape block, the GS-61 is a god option.
