Riveted Ethically Sourced Deer Horn Handle with Full Tang
Manufactured by hand by Master Saji in Takefu Knife Village
Made in Japan
Born in 1948, Takeshi Saji has been manufacturing kitchens for nearly 50 years with the Saji Uchiamono Company. He is the 3rd generation of his family involved in knife manufacturing, pioneering Japanese style knives and using traditional techniques. Due to the uniqueness of his knives, there are many fans in Japan and around the world. Out of all our handmade Japanese knives, these are some of the most eye-catching and aesthetically pleasing. Forged using SG-2 (also known as R2) steel cores giving exceptional edge retention and clad in layers of stainless steel providing excellent protection against corrosion; these beauties will add style and sophistication to any knife collection. The layers of stainless steel produce a wonderful Damascus pattern to the blades which are then completed with full tang handles with steel bolster rounded off with White Deerhorn handles with stainless steel rivets. The mirrored Damascus is eye-catching whilst the white deer horn handle compliments and provides contrast against the mirrored Damascus blade. Takeshi Saji is continuing to produce stand out pieces and we are lucky to have a supply of these knives from one of the Takefu Knife Villages' master craftsmen.
